Professional Makeup Artist

Hello! And thank you for stopping by! I am Veronica Burgess, am a Social Worker and professional makeup artist based in Pittsburgh. PA.

My passion for makeup artistry started at a very young age. I can remember always, playing in my mom's makeup. My mom always would ask, "Whose been in my makeup...?" And there I stood with her lipstick and blush on. And in college, I would always do my friend's makeup--getting them ready to go out for the night. I have always had a passion to help and empower others. So I did go on to college and have my Master's in Social work and currently work in counseling with a primary focus on Women in Recovery.

My professional career in the beauty industry started in 2014 with Bobbi Brown cosmetics. Along in my journey, I had the privilege to be awarded, Style Week Pittsburgh 2022 Makeup Artist of the Year. I have partnered with Dress for Success, Susan G Komen, ONYX Women, Cancer Bridges, and Go Red--I've worked with United Artists Releasing, Sabika Jewelry, KneeKini Swimwear, Style Week Pittsburgh, Demaskus Theater, and NPC Fitness Competitions. I am also a makeup artist for  Pittsburgh Rock Steelers Style Fashion Show, FashionAFRICANA, and Cornerstone TV. 

I am always evolving my craft and have dedicated my work to bringing out the inner beauty in all of my clients. I am rewarded when after a makeover, women look in the mirror and immediately their eyes light up with happiness and they are fueled with confidence. Makeup is more than just colors to me — it’s a chance for people to step out of their everyday and into something wonderful and powerful. When you look good, you feel good.
